title of post

where i go, death precedes me.

on the way back to athens, i saw another.
this is the 3rd time in as many months.
this time, it was in the tree line, about 40 yards off of the actual interstate.
it couldn't have happened any longer than about 5 or 10 mins before i was there.
the driver was still inside the car, stretched out in his seat.
the car and luggage trailer had obviously flipped over. and over.
the state patrol officers and emts weren't doing anything except looking.
but then again, thats all i was doing.

i drove the next 2 hours in the loudest silence.

i'm 5 or 10 minutes late.

Yeah, but nothing sucks as much as running over a turtle. I ran over a turtle one time right as someone was getting out of their car to come save it. I felt really bad because I don't kill animals ever. I don't believe in it. B/c what if that turtle was going home to its family?...But it was an accident so I figure it must have happened for a reason b/c everything does. Maybe he was sick and he was going off into the woods to die. Maybe I spared him a long painful death. Who knows? But it still sucked and I feel bad for the guy who was coming to save it...except that maybe the turtle WAS sick and if that guy had picked him up HE would've gotten sick, too. So really, it's a dang good thing I ran over the turtle. I'm glad we had this talk. Thank you.
